This ocean waves inspired oval sun catcher is made with a mix of different shades and textures of yellow/gold, blue, white and teal glass. Some pieces are translucent and some are more opaque some are also textured. The tiny drop at the tip of the wave is even a blue iridescent glass. Each piece of stained glass has been hand cut and ground smooth prior to applying copper foil tape to the edges and soldering it all together. This one also has a tiny bit of glass paint. I wrapped the outside edges with lead came and added a chain for easy hanging.
It measures 9 3/8 inches wide by 6 1/4 tall (not counting hanging chain). With the chain for easy hanging it measures 9 1/2 inches tall.
*In the process of stained glass manufacturing lines and bubbles often form in the glass. I have always loved the added interest this provides in my pieces. This piece has lots of bubbles and lines in the glass.
