This is a sweet little blue stained glass butterfly I mounted on this maple log. I made the butterfly from a deep blue swirly opaque glass for the wings and a lighter blue glass for the body. I added wire legs and antenna and finished it in a black patina. I have glued the legs down into this base. I sealed the log slice it with a low sheen polyurethane.
The total height measures 4 inches tall by 3 inches wide by 3 deep.
It would also make a great gift.
