This handmade dainty wreath features a stained glass hummingbird and several small stained glass flowers and leaves. The hummingbird is a teal opaque glass. With a white belly and a red throat. The bird measures 5 1/4 inches tall by 5 1/4 inches wide. The stained glass flowers on this one are a mix of blue and pink with several green leaves and measure about 1 1/2 inch by 1 1/2 inches or bigger. The wreath itself is made from cuttings from my very own muscadine grapes. I like to use them for wreaths because they are smaller in diameter than regular grape vines. This unique piece measures 11 1/2 inches tall by 12 1/2 inches wide (not including the teal ribbon hanger).

A bit about my glass work. I usually hand draw all my own patterns. I choose each piece of glass based on the look I'm after. I do like glass with ripples, streaks and bubbles because of the interest it creates in the finished piece. I then hand cut and grind each piece to shape then assembled them using the Tiffany method with copper foil applied to all edges, burnished and then soldered. Most of my pieces have black patina applied because it contrasts so well with the glass but I have a few with copper and silver. I try very hard not to have a lot of waste glass because of this you will often find various wall art pieces and mosaics in my shop.

My pieces are designed to be used inside.
